The PalawanSU community began the work week on a positive note during this morning’s flag-raising ceremony led by the College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS).

The OIC-President, Prof. Marissa S. Pontillas announced that the Board of Regents (BOR) has officially approved the Program of Receipts and Expenditures (PRE) for Fiscal Year 2026. This crucial approval secured the funding necessary for strategic projects, facility improvements, and the continuity of essential services.

OIC Pontillas also shared that the Search Committee’s guidelines and procedures for the search for the university’s next president has been approved and will proceed as scheduled.

A representative from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Palawan Field Office, Ms. Irene H. Padon, Senior Human Resource Specialist, also attended the flag ceremony and awarded Certificates of Recognition for the Collective Negotiation Agreements (CNA) between the university and both its Faculty Union (FU) and Association of Palawan State University Administrative Personnel (APSUAP).

These awards represent a significant milestone in labor management relations and a reaffirmation of the institution’s commitment to the welfare of its workforce.
