Palawan State University’s Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO), through its Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office (IPTTO), was honored with the 2025 Gold Cluster Award, with special citations for Bronze and Silver, at the 2026 ITSO Presidents’ Summit and General Assembly, held on March 25–26, 2026, at Diversion 21 Hotel, Iloilo City.
This prestigious recognition affirms PalawanSU’s outstanding performance as one of the country’s top-performing ITSOs for 2025. It highlights the University’s continued commitment to strengthening intellectual property protection, fostering innovation, and advancing sustainable technology transfer.
With the theme “15 Years of Strengthening the Philippines TISCs: Innovation and Creativity Toward Sustainable Technology Transfer,” this year’s summit gathered key leaders, innovators, and institutions nationwide in a powerful convergence of ideas, collaboration, and shared vision for the future of Philippine innovation.
Representing PalawanSU OIC President, Prof. Marissa S. Pontillas, the award was received by Prof. Hermenegildo P. Dela Peña and Mr. Geronimo Allan Jerome G. Acosta, faculty members of the College of Sciences, who serve as IPTTO Director/ITSO Manager and Deputy Director, respectively.
The recognition underscores PalawanSU’s dedication to transforming research into impactful solutions, promoting a culture of innovation in Palawan, and contributing to the global presence of Philippine intellectual property and technology development.
