A celebration of creativity, culture, and community design has taken center stage at Palawan State University (PalawanSU). Running from August 17 to 29, 2026 at the Lobby of the PalawanSU Library Services Building, the special visual arts exhibition BANWA ASEAN brings together dynamic works created by the talented students and faculty of the PalawanSU College of Architecture and Design (CAD). Guided by the central theme, “Shared Places, Shared Stories, Shared Future,” the exhibition explores the diverse artistic perspectives shaping regional design culture while underscoring unity and regional progress under the banner of “Navigating Our Future, Together.”
The exhibition serves as a premier showcase of local artistic talent, highlighting curated visual artworks that reflect the creative genius, technical skill, and cultural expression of PalawanSU CAD’s community. Beyond the display of art, the event marks a milestone moment as the official launch pad for the PALAWANSU-VIVA, an organization of Visual Artists in Palawan, signaling a bold new chapter in creative collaboration for the institution under the banner slogan “LIPAD CAD.”
Rooted in broader global and regional goals, BANWA ASEAN directly supports key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It highlights institutional commitments to Quality Education (SDG 4), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG 16), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).
