The Palawan State University – National Service Training Program (NSTP) Office, under the leadership of its Director, Dr. Carlos Alfonso C. Salvador, in collaboration with the CASAMA Youth Student Organization and PSU Pride, has successfully distributed the first batch of relief goods to families affected by the recent fire along Bonifacio Street, Brgy. Masipag, Puerto Princesa City. Key leadership and coordination for the initiative were supported by Jhon Grover Longsud, Student Assistant at the NSTP Office and Student Adviser of the CASAMA Youth Student Organization. This initial drive highlights the university community’s commitment to transforming shared compassion into tangible aid for families starting the rebuilding process.

To continue supporting the affected residents, the organizers are keeping the donation drive open until October 23, 2026. Members of the PalawanSU community and the public are encouraged to contribute essential in-kind items, including rice, noodles, canned goods, powdered drinks, soap, shampoo, hygiene supplies, and clothing. For transparency and safety, no cash donations will be accepted. Donations can be turned in at the NSTP Office drop-off point throughout the drive. Relief operations—consisting of morning packing sessions followed by distribution from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM—will continue on scheduled Fridays, specifically October 9, 16, and 23, 2026.
