Palawan State University won 2nd Best Film in the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARB) Category for its entry “Sa Dulo ng Pilapil” during the PELIKULAGRARYO 2026 Regional Film Festival Awards Night, held on September 28–30, 2026, at Ciudad Christia Resort, San Mateo, Rizal.

The festival carried the theme “Tinig ng Lupang Malaya: Kwento at Aral-Agraryo, Butil na Pamana sa Kabataan,” which highlights the stories and experiences of people in the agrarian sector and their importance to the youth.

The PalawanSU team was composed of Leigh Owey B. Jalandoon, Jaypee R. Dumip-ig, Gwen B. Salvador, Jed Delima, Joshua C. Milo, John Kelvin Cacal, Gian Cayzer Gatela, Sue Ann Judea G. Saromines, Krishna Marie U. Nalam, and Chard Andre Galaroza, with Ms. Rhea R. Ponce de Leon as their adviser.

PELIKULAGRARYO aims to help young people understand the Agrarian Reform Program by showcasing films about the experiences and stories of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) and Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs).

This award is a proud achievement for PalawanSU and recognizes the students’ creativity, teamwork, and effort in telling a meaningful story about the agrarian sector.
