Palawan State University underwent the First Surveillance Audit of its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) conducted by TÜV Rheinland on September 30 to October 1, 2026, at the PalawanSU Puerto Princesa Campus.
The external audit aims to assess the University’s continued implementation and conformity with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, covering relevant offices and processes within the University.
The opening program was attended by university officials, faculty, and staff. Dr. MaryAnn A. Artizuela, Acting Director of the Institutional Planning, Quality Assurance, and Institutional Accreditation (IPQAIA) Office, delivered the opening remarks, followed by a message from University President Dr. Venzon L. Limpiada.
The program also featured an intermission performance by the Sining Palawan Dance Troupe and an Overview of the Audit Process presented by Mr. Marion Louis Almazan, Audit Team Leader.
Following the opening program, the audit proper was conducted in various offices of the PalawanSU Puerto Princesa Campus, where the audit team reviewed relevant processes, documents, and quality management system practices.
The closing program and presentation of the audit report are scheduled for October 1, 2026.
The surveillance audit forms part of PalawanSU’s continuing efforts to strengthen its quality management system, ensure consistent implementation of institutional processes, and promote a culture of continuous improvement in the delivery of university services.
