Palawan State University OIC President Prof. Marissa S. Pontillas is currently attending the SUC-IAUs CAPDEV 2026 executive briefing at the Golden Phoenix Hotel Manila to strengthen the university’s fiscal governance and internal control mechanisms.
The high-level capacity-building program, opened by Tarlac State University President Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza, was highlighted by a keynote address from CHED Commissioner Hon. Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari on “The Role of Internal Control on CHED’s ACHIEVE Agenda: Importance of Internal Control in the Operations of SUCs”. Prof. Pontillas’ active presence at the executive briefing underscores PalawanSU’s ongoing aggressive stance on good governance.
Following a university-wide seminar on internal control audits held in Palawan just last month, this national engagement ensures that the university remains fully aligned with the latest Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and CHED compliance frameworks.
