We’ve got some exciting news! At the 1st Pangolin Summit held yesterday, June 19, 2024 at the CityState Asturias Hotel here in Puerto Princesa City, PalawanSU was honored with a special award for our work protecting the endangered Palawan pangolin!
This prestigious Pangolin Savers Award from the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) shows just how much we care about saving this amazing creature. It also makes us even more determined to keep fighting for its future.
The Palawan pangolin, also known as the Palawan clouded pangolin, is a unique mammal found only in the island province of Palawan. Sadly, due to habitat loss and illegal hunting, this remarkable creature faces the threat of extinction.
PalawanSU has been a proud partner of the PCSD in various initiatives aimed at pangolin conservation. This award serves as a motivator for us to continue our vital work in pangolin conservation. We are committed to ensuring that future generations can appreciate the wonder of the Palawan pangolin in its natural habitat. We are deeply grateful to the PCSD for recognizing our contributions.
