Palawan State University (PalawanSU) is expanding its international connections by exploring partnerships with Canadian institutions through the EduCanada Pathways to Partnerships event. Dr. Lhynette Zambales, Director of Transnational Educational, International Affairs, and Linkages Office (TNEIALO) represented PalawanSU, aiming to create opportunities for students and faculty.

The EduCanada initiative helps universities connect for student and faculty exchanges, research, and curriculum development. PalawanSU discussed potential collaborations with several Canadian schools, including Vancouver Community College, Northwestern Polytechnic, Justice Institute of British Columbia, Seneca Polytechnic, and the University of Guelph. These discussions focused on areas like IT, nursing, hospitality management, business, cybersecurity, science, engineering, and agriculture, with plans for virtual exchanges, credit transfers, and research projects.

PalawanSU aims to provide its students and faculty with international exposure and enhance its academic programs.

The university is grateful to EduCanada and the Canadian Embassy for facilitating these connections, which will contribute to global knowledge exchange and cross-cultural understanding that aligns with its commitment to creating more international opportunities for its community.
