Committed to nurturing the creative and intellectual growth of its students, Palawan State University (PalawanSU) participates in the TES Congress 2024, held at Marinduque State University from September 4-8, 2024. The congress’s theme, “Estudyanteng MIMAROPA: Linangin at Hubugin sa Pamamagitan ng Sining at Edukasyon Tungo sa Maunlad na Bukas,” perfectly aligns with the PalawanSU’s vision of producing well-rounded individuals who can contribute to the development of their community.
Under the leadership of Dr. Ramon M. Docto, University President, PalawanSU sent a delegation of talented students to showcase their skills in fields such as filmmaking (MIMAROPAlikula) and music (Battle of the Bands). The delegation was accompanied by other key university officials, including Dr. Carlos Alfonso C. Salvador, Vice President for Students Affairs and Services, Dr. Rossana P. Colendra, Director for Admission Services, Prof. Donald D. Janaban, Director for Institutional Student Program and Services (ISPS), and Ms. Ana Liza Marquez, Administrative Staff (ISPS).
The TES Congress offers a unique platform for students from across the MIMAROPA region to unite, learn, and showcase their talents. It’s a space where creativity, knowledge, and camaraderie converge. By fostering such an environment, we hope to inspire and empower the youth of MIMAROPA. As the region continues to evolve, it is imperative that students have the opportunity to explore their passions and contribute to building a more vibrant and sustainable future.
TES Congress stands for Tertiary Education Subsidy Congress. It’s an event specifically designed for students who are benefiting from the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) program in the Philippines. This program provides financial assistance to students from low-income families who are pursuing higher education.
