On March 3, 2025, Palawan State University (PalawanSU) and the Philippine Canoe and Kayak Federation (PCKF) signed an agreement to develop paddling sports in Palawan.
University President, Dr. Ramon M. Docto, and Sports Director, Mr. Vincent Esguerra represented PalawanSU, while PCKF President, Ms. Leonora Escollante and Secretary General, Ms. Rona Joy Bulaong signed for the Federation.
This partnership uses PCKF’s national authority and PalawanSU’s resources to make water sports more accessible. It will provide training and opportunities for students, faculty, and the community, promoting a healthier lifestyle and raising Palawan’s profile in water sports.
