In line with the National Disaster Resilience Month 2024, Palawan State University (PalawanSU) conducted a two (2)-day Basic Life Support (BLS) training seminar for its constituents on July 23-24, 2024. The event, held at CNHS Room 4 in the Main Campus, equipped participants with essential skills for responding to emergencies and saving lives.
The training aimed to provide knowledge and practical experience in performing CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and other life-saving techniques. This is particularly crucial during disasters, where immediate medical attention may not be readily available. With the Philippines being a highly disaster-prone country, it is crucial to empower citizens with BLS skills.
PalawanSU’s initiative highlights the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of safety and well-being within its community. By equipping its students, faculty, and staff with BLS training, PalawanSU empowers them to become active participants in ensuring disaster resilience.
Congratulations to Sir Johnard B. Rebato, Director, University Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and the entire UDRRMO team for their hard work and dedication to improving safety and lifesaving skills in the community.
