PalawanSU has taken a significant step towards ensuring the safety and well-being of its students by signing a student insurance policy with MAA General Assurance Philippines, Inc. The contract was formalized at the Office of the University President, with Ms. Melanie B. Llano, Manager of MAA General Assurance Philippines, Inc.’s Palawan Branch, representing the insurance company. Also present during the policy signing were Dr. Carlos Alfonso C. Salvador, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services; Prof. Donald Janaban, Director of the Institutional Student Program and Services; Ms. Lilybeth Mae Joy Cuyo, Director of the Procurement Office; and Joven Loyd Adrian Hermano, President of the USG Tiniguiban.
The insurance policy will cover all second to fourth-year PalawanSU students and provides purely accidental insurance coverage. This means that students will be protected against unforeseen accidents that may occur during their academic journey. This partnership between PSU and MAA General Assurance Philippines, Inc. is a testament to both institutions’ commitment to the safety and security of the student body. It is hoped that this insurance policy will provide students with added peace of mind as they pursue their education.
