Palawan State University (PalawanSU) made history by capturing the 11th National Ultimate Collegiate Championship (NUCC) title on July 20-21, 2024. Defeating a formidable field of competitors, including a nine-year champion, PSU’s team of 26 students brought home the championship trophy and the Most Spirited Award.
PalawanSU dominated the tournament, remaining undefeated throughout the competition. The journey to victory included impressive wins against top-tier universities such as Ateneo de Manila University, Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, and De La Salle University. The ultimate showdown against UP Manila in the finals solidified PSU’s dominance, ending UP Diliman’s long-standing championship reign.
In addition to their championship win, PalawanSU’s team was lauded for their exemplary sportsmanship and team spirit, earning them the prestigious Most Spirited Award.
PSU’s Kesia De Belen was recognized as the Finals MVP, while teammates Rene Von Ubani and Franco Mabanglo also received individual honors.
