The 2026 International Summer School Program between Palawan State University (PalawanSU) and Ulster University was successfully conducted in Puerto Princesa City from May 15–19, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the strengthening of international academic cooperation between the two institutions. The program provided a vibrant platform for intercultural exchange, experiential learning, and sustainability-centered education, bringing together students, faculty, and partners in a shared commitment to global engagement and academic excellence.
A key highlight of the program was the formal signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Palawan State University and Ulster University, signifying the official strengthening and expansion of institutional collaboration. This historic moment was complemented by a series of academic, cultural, and community-based activities, including intercultural learning sessions, social work field exposure, heritage tours, and environmental immersion experiences such as visits to the Puerto Princesa Underground River and community-based tourism initiatives.
