In recognition of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) this September 2024, themed “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes,” the Palawan State University Faculty and Staff Club, Inc. has organized the “Linggo ng Malasakit sa Kalikasan” event today, September 27, 2024.
The morning program at the PSU Amphitheater featured an Eco-Workshop titled “Green Footprints: Steps Towards a Sustainable Future.” Presentations included topics such as Composting by Mr. Romeo Biobe P. Palao, Solid Waste Management by Mr. Carl Von Leen Curada, and Forest Management by Ms. Zorina Arellano. Following the workshop, the Mr. and Ms. Eco-Modelo 2024 showcase highlighted outfits made from recycled materials, with Mr. Halim Amala and Ms. Antoinette Gacayan from the Administration Department winning the title. The event concluded with the signing of the Environmental Pledge Wall.
This afternoon, a tree planting and clean-up drive will commence on campus at 3:00 PM at the PSU Landmark.
