On February 23, 2026, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) led the Palawan State University community in a flag-raising ceremony that emphasized personal wellness and celebrated school pride. During the “food for thought” session, everyone was urged to take care of their hearts and reminded that being physically and emotionally healthy is the real secret to achieving academic excellence.
Officer-in-Charge Prof. Marissa S. Pontillas shared with the PalawanSU Community our students’ notable achievements such as 29 graduates successfully passing the Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination, the Innovators’ Guild Agri-Initiatives, a four-person team of students from the Rizal Campus, receiving an award for being the Provincial Level Champion in the 2025 for the Department of Agriculture’s Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) MIMAROPA, and our student journalists sweeping the awards at the Regional Higher Education Press Conference (RHEPC) held on February 19-21, 2026, at Palawan State University.
Lastly, OIC Pontillas announced the publication of the Notice of Search for the next PalawanSU President, which formally opens the search. She encouraged the community to engage in the selection process and in discussions on what we expect in our new leader.
