In observance of the September 2024 Civil Service Month, upon the initiative of the Faculty Union, in partnership with the City Government of Puerto Princesa thru the City Health Office, and in collaboration with the Palawan State University faculty and students of the College of Nursing, and Health Sciences (CNHS), have organized a free medical mission to provide essential healthcare services to the officials, faculty and administrative staff of the PalawanSU.
The medical mission is being held at the Ground Floor of the University Library, from 8am to 5pm today, offered a variety of health screenings, including: Free Pap Smears; Free Anti-Pneumonia and Anti-Cervical Vaccines; Free Blood Sugar Checking; and Free Eye Check-Ups done by Dr. Welthy Villanueva, a distinguished faculty member from the School of Medicine.
The mission is a testament to the university’s commitment to social responsibility and community service, and aligns with the theme of the September 2024 CSC Month, “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes.”
By offering free healthcare services to the PalawanSU community, the Faculty Union is exemplifying the spirit of public service and fostering a healthier, more vibrant campus environment.
