Faculty members from the University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) visited PSU President, Dr. Ramon M. Docto for a courtesy call this morning, April 26, 2024.
During the courtesy call, Dr. Jennifer Amparo, the Dean of UPLB’s College of Human Ecology, explained that the UPLB Team will hold a writeshop at the PSU Hostel on 26-27 April 2024 for the collaborative project entitled, “Examining Co-Production of Gender and Sustainability Dynamics with Indigenous People’s for Sustainable Nature-Based Livelihoods of Selected Priority Commodities in the Philippines (CP4SL).
The CP4SL is one of the first few projects being implemented under a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Educational Cooperation between the UPLB and PSU. The project commenced in April 2023 and currently on its final phase of report and publication writing.
PSU is one of the cooperating agencies and academic institutions in the Philippines that agreed to assist UPLB in conducting research on assessing co-production of selected nature-based livelihood projects for the Palawan and Palawan Ke’nuy Indigenous Groups which was done by the UPLB’s College of Forestry and Natural Resources (CFNR) in Brooke’s Point, Palawan.
Future projects have also been briefly discussed during the meeting, including the development of an enhanced curriculum for entrepreneurship and learning events for faculty and students.
