Palawan State University (PalawanSU) has officially launched its partnership with the GOJUST program, reinforcing its commitment to human rights and women’s economic empowerment. This milestone was marked by the opening of the EmpowerHER Market, a three-day vibrant bazaar dedicated to showcasing and supporting women-led enterprises.
The event brought together local entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and stakeholders to celebrate women’s contributions to the business sector. Various booths displayed innovative products, sustainable solutions, and artisanal crafts, emphasizing the creativity and resilience of women entrepreneurs. Workshops, mentorship sessions, and networking opportunities were also integrated into the program, providing participants with valuable insights on business development, financial literacy, and leadership.
As part of the initiative, the EmpowerHER Market featured three promising startups from the Palawan International Technology Business Incubator (PITBI)—FundR, La Knitteras, and Yeomju—each offering unique solutions that empower women in business and innovation. Their participation underscored the crucial role of technology and entrepreneurship in driving inclusive economic growth.
Through this collaboration, PalawanSU continues to foster an ecosystem that champions gender equality, supports sustainable enterprises, and strengthens the role of women-led businesses in economic development.
