The “Abante, Bahile Project 1, “Empowering Health, Uplifting Lives” was successfully launched on March 14, 2025, marking the beginning of a significant two-year extension activity driven by the ABANTE, BAHILE TEAM. This initiative, spearheaded by Resource Speaker/Project Leader Prof. Jenifer R. Alcorano, saw an overwhelming turnout of community members, from young children to the elderly, despite the warm weather.
The program focused on crucial health topics, aiming to empower families with essential knowledge on Hand Hygiene, Oral and Dental Care, and Komunikasyon para sa Malusog na Pamilyang Pilipino (Communication for Healthy Filipino Families), among others.
To further support the community, hygiene kits were distributed to all attendees. This practical gesture aimed to reinforce the lessons learned and encourage the adoption of healthy habits.
The successful kick-off of the “Abante, Bahile Project 1” signifies a strong commitment to improving the well-being of the community. With a two-year Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in place, the ABANTE, BAHILE TEAM is poised to make a lasting positive impact.
