Palawan State University Laboratory Junior High School participated in the 2nd International Vedic Mathematics Olympiad (IVMO) on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Eight Grade 7 students from PSU LJHS competed in the Junior Category (13 years old and under). While our very own faculty member Ms. Maricar D. DasmariƱas served as center coordinator for the said competition. Aside from instilling the benefits and pushing for the advancement of Vedic Math, the competition also aimed to encourage students to join local, national, and even international competitions like IVMO.

IVMO is an event spearheaded and hosted by the London-based Institute for the Advancement of Vedic Mathematics (IAVM). This year’s IVMO was participated in by 2000+ students from 12 different countries, through both in-person and online modalities.
The following are the participating PSU LJHS students:

  • Sean Raffaello B. Soria (7 Cockatoo)
  • Sage Spencer Seth A. Zamora (7 Peacock)

There were also college students from Palawan State University and Western Philippines University who participated in the Open Age category.

The IVMO facilitating committee expresses their warmest gratitude to all the students who participated, administration of PSU and WPU, and Palawan Pawnshop for allowing the use of their New Bldg. lobby as the venue.
