The Philippine Competition Commission (PCC), in collaboration with the Competition Local Advocacy Network (CLAN) and Palawan State University (PalawanSU), successfully conducted an orientation on the Philippine Competition Act (PCA) and the National Competition Policy (NCP) on July 18, 2024, at the PalawanSU Hostel, Main Campus.
The event featured prominent figures: Dr. Rodolfo O. Abalus, Jr., Director of University Extension Services, kicked things off with a welcome remarks; University President Dr. Ramon M. Docto provided an inspirational message; the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) was represented by Dr. Kenneth V. Tanate, Executive Director, who delivered a short message; and Ms. Inah Geneve T. Mangilin who provided an overview of the Competition Local Advocacy Network (CLAN) Program.
The University Training Team in the implementation of CLAN Project of the PCC who are set to mobilize and serve as resource speakers for the orientations are: Ms. Liezel A. Gabaldon, Mr. Rene V. Buliag, Mr. Jenifer H. Alcorano, and Mr. Lesbert L. Bayanay.
This initiative aimed to equip participants with knowledge on fair competition and its role in a healthy business environment. There is another session coming up on September 30, 2024, at the same venue.
