Palawan State University proudly hosted the Student Monetary Assistance for Recovery and Transition (SMART) Program, a program initiated by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
A total of 426 students from various colleges and universities across Palawan were grantees of the SMART Program, with 181 recipients coming from Palawan State University. The SMART Program is designed to help bridge financial challenges faced by qualified students pursuing higher education, enabling them to concentrate on their studies and achieve academic success.
Prof. Edna Imelda F. Legazpi, CHED MIMAROPA Regional Director IV, together with the CHED MIMAROPA team, led the program, joined by Dr. Carlos Alfonso C. Salvador, Dean of Student Affairs and Services.
The CHED SMART Program reflects the Commission’s steadfast commitment to promoting inclusive and accessible quality education for deserving and qualified students. The event was organized and facilitated by the Student Affairs and Services Division of Palawan State University.
