Puerto Princesa City, Palawan — March 12, 2025 — The Monitoring, Impact Assessment, and Knowledge Management Office (MIAKMO), a newly established unit
under the Office of the Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension (OVPRDE) at Palawan State University, conducted its first Knowledge Management
Training for research and extension personnel.
Held at the PITBI 2nd Floor Co-working Space, the training was facilitated by Engr. Jerico Padrones, Director of the Integrated Planning, Quality Assurance, and Internal
Audit (IPQAIA). The initiative aims to strengthen the University’s capacity in managing research and extension knowledge for improved program implementation and
decision-making.
The training covered the fundamentals of knowledge management, its significance in academic institutions, and practical application using a standardized KM
questionnaire. Participants engaged in hands-on workshops designed to enhance the collection, storage, and transformation of data into strategic, community-ready
information.
This marks a crucial step in fostering a more efficient and impactful research and extension environment at the University.
