The Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB) through its Technical Support Office (TSO) and the Palawan State University (PalawanSU) have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on

institutionalizing and professionalizing the development and capacity building of the public procurement workforce through the establishment of sustainable training program, and ensuring its  conduct by the procuring entities. This aims to address the need for specialized training and certification in public procurement to enhance the skills and knowledge of those involved in the processes, thereby contributing to the integrity, effectiveness of public sector operations, and accountability in the use of public funds.

Moreover, the PalawanSU has been given the Rising Star Award which was received by the University President, Dr. Ramon M. Docto, together with the Acting Vice-President for Finance and Administration, Dr. Venzon L. Limpiada. This is in recognition of GPPB-TSO personnel and team who have demonstrated admirable and exceptional performance in achieving the agency’s mandate relating to skills on leadership, teamwork, communication, work values, and integrity.  This award is a testament of the University’s commitment in achieving national development objectives, seeking to further strengthen institutional capacities, promote good governance, ensure judicious use of public resources. and dedication to provide excellent service.
