In celebration of ASEAN Month 2026, the Palawan State University College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) hosted an event centered on “Strengthening ASEAN Nursing Collaboration for Health Security in the West Philippine Sea.” Held on August 25, 2026, at CNHS Building, Room D, the event emphasized the vital role of nursing professionals in regional safety, maritime medical support, and cross-border healthcare initiatives.
Led by the Chairperson of the Nursing Department, Prof. Marichelle V. Delos Santos, and RLE Coordinator, Prof. Kristina V. Orlido, the event featured key insights from Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Nursing Service Sub-Unit Palawan officers—including LT Veer E. Grande, LTJG Krystell May L. Batangas, ENS Nurkizha M. Rizal, and ASN Jewel R. Jamolor.
Through this activity, CNHS reaffirmed its commitment to advancing regional cooperation and equipping future healthcare leaders to safeguard health security across Southeast Asia.
