On July 27, 2026, “Pagbanwak,” a solo architectural exhibition featuring the works of Architect Jefferson Bulan, M.Arch, Dean of the College of Architecture and Design, Palawan State University, officially opened at The Residence (Former Old Governor’s Residence). Centered around the theme “Mindful Spaces: Good Architecture for Institutional Excellence,” the event highlights vision-driven spatial designs showcased alongside Palawan State University President Dr. Venzon L. Limpiada.
The exhibition features a range of impactful community and institutional projects, including the Pagbanwak Landmark, BUS-Y Cafe, Child-Minding Center, Faculty Union Office Features, Brgy. Macarascas Community Hub, and the Brgy. Iratag Learning Hub.
The event program began at 10:00 AM with registration, followed by inspiring remarks from Ar. Jefferson Bulan, University President Dr. Venzon Limpiada, and the Culture, Arts, and Heritage Program Manager. Also in attendance was Faculty Union President and Member, PalawanSU Board of Regents, Dr. Janet B. Oab.
A cultural performance by the Sining Palawan Dance Troupe added vitality to the celebration, leading into the ceremonial ribbon cutting, and concluding with a welcoming grazing feast. Organized in partnership with BLN Architecture & Design Studio and the Province of Palawan, the exhibition celebrates the transformative power of thoughtful design in fostering community development and educational growth.
