PSU PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES SPEAK AT PUBLIC FORUM

The Palawan State University now looks to the future with great optimism as it continues with the ongoing search for the 8th University President.

The search has winded down to four candidates from different backgrounds, each qualified for the position. The candidates are Rev. Fr. Eugene S. Elivera, , Dr. Nelly I. Mendoza, Dr. Gabilyn G. Orilla, and Dr. Hanlie A. Taha. Each of the candidates has held and managed different positions and offices throughout their careers. In relation to this, PSU held a Public Forum on July 18, 2016 at the Performing Arts Center, which was attended by University officials, students, faculty, staff, and representatives of different sectors, as well as guests.

CCRES TEAM PLANNING WORKSHOP

On 16-20 May 2016, Dr. Carl Smith and Dr. Russel Richards from the University of Queensland (UQ) returned to Palawan State University (PSU) for another round of CCRES core modelling team planning workshop. Participants to the workshop were teams from the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) and PSU.

PSU Intellectual Property Office Conducts Training on IP Awareness

In support of the Southern Tagalog Islands Research and Development Consortium (STIRDC) Agenda for 2016, the University Intellectual Property Office (UIPO) of the Palawan State University conducted a two-day in-house training on Intellectual Property (IP) Awareness and Protection last 26-27 May 2016 at the PSU Hostel, Tiniguiban, Puerto Princesa City.

UNDP Conducts Training of Trainors

The United Nations Development Programme GEF-Small Grants Programme OP5 conducted a simultaneous Training of Trainers (ToT) on Ecosystem Valuation, Community-Based Biodiversity Monitoring and Evaluation Systems, and Biodiversity-Friendly Enterprises in Baler, Aurora on May 17-24, 2016.
