Two faculty members from the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) Engr. Jezreel Tuquero and Melchor Jaramilla. attended the 21st International Training Program on Small Hydropower Development at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. The training was held on September 15-26, 2014.
The Palawan State University recently partook in the annual MILO Marathon Puerto Princesa Elimination Race, held on September 7, 2014. More than 2,000 participants from PSU, including PSU faculty, staff, and students enrolled under the National Service Training Program (NSTP) joined the marathon.
In the spirit of sportsmanship and as part of its proud tradition of recognizing and celebrating its appreciation for sports, athleticism and physical education, the Palawan State University held its 2014 Intramural Meet on September 6-10, with the opening program held at the Puerto Princesa City Sports Complex.
In celebration of the Pambansang Buwan ng Kasaysayan, the Palawan State University through the Palawan Studies Center (PSC) participated in the 2014 Pambansang Kumbensyon Kaugnay ng Pagdiriwang ng Pambansang Buwan ng Kasaysayan 2014 at Ika- 150 Taon ng Kapanganakan ni Apolinario Mabini. The event was held on August 28-30 at the Holy Angel University, Angeles City, Pampanga. The PSC members in attendance was Prof. Michael Doblado.
The Center for Strategic Policy and Governance hosted the project briefing for the Transnational Seafood Commodity Chains and the Coastal Poor in the Maritime Frontiers of the Asia-Pacific project on August 18-19 2014 at the PSU Hostel.
The PSU Office for Women, Gender and Development (OWGD) through its Director Dr. Mary Allyson Carlos participated in the “Orientation Seminar for GAD Focal Point Persons.” The seminar was held on August 6-8, 2014 at the CHED Auditorium, University of the Philippines Diliman Campus, Quezon City.
