LHS Water Rocket Team Wins, Headed for Tokyo
In a milestone achievement, The Palawan State University Laboratory High School has achieved the distinction of becoming the first school from Palawan to represent the Philippines in the Asia Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF) Water Rocket Competition to be held in Japan on November 29-30, 2014.
PSU is proud to produce twenty-three (23) new Certified Public Accountants during the CPA Board exam held last October 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2014. This is, so far, the highest number of passers that PSU has produced since the offering of the BS Accountancy program, with Mr. Gerald Mart Gatinga snatching this year’s 6th place in the list of national topnotchers.
The Palawan State University through the PSU School of Law held a lecture on October 3, 2014 regarding the legal issues involved in the territorial stand-off between the Philippines and China. The special guest speaker for the event was Hon. Francis H. Jardeleza, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
In order to better improve its services as an academic institution for higher learning, the Palawan State University underwent accreditation from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Inc. on October 6-11.
Striving to connect with the community and the local government, the Palawan State University through its National Service Training Program invited Puerto Princesa Mayor Lucilo Bayron to speak the PSU community on October 2, 2014. The program was held at the PSU Gymnasium and was attended by PSU officials, faculty, students, and staff.
