The Palawan State University through the Office of Student Affairs Services (OSAS) held an orientation program for the incoming freshmen and senior high school students for SY 2016-2017.

The orientation program was held for three days in order to accommodate the multitude of students enrolled under the different program offerings of the University under the K-12 program. The tracks fall under four categories: Academic, which consists of Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM), Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), the Arts and Design track, the Sports track, Techvoc: Home Economics, Techvoc: Information and Communications Technology, Industrial Arts.

Dr. Lorna Gelito, PSU’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, welcomed the students. She expressed how they made a great decision in choosing PSU as their home in pursuing their senior high school education. OSAS Director Grace Abrina echoed Dr. Gelito’s sentiments, adding that the University is taking great care and responsibility as it works to successfully implement the K-12 program. The OSAS team also did their part in informing the students of the school’s policies. The students were also given information on the school’s services, including the University Library, University Clinic, and the OWGAD unit as well.
