The Palawan State University recently partook in the annual MILO Marathon Puerto Princesa Elimination Race, held on September 7, 2014. More than 2,000 participants from PSU, including PSU faculty, staff, and students enrolled under the National Service Training Program (NSTP) joined the marathon.
According to Mr. Vincent Esguerra, faculty member and PSU Coordinator for the event, it is the fifth time that PSU has participated in the Marathon, since he took over as Coordinator.
Mr. Esguerra added that PSU has made a name for itself in the event, having won the “Biggest Delegation Award” and Champion in the Cheer Dance Competition in the college level in its previous participation. NSTP Director Prof. Ricardo Tajolosa expressed his pride in the fact that PSU continues to be a consistent presence in such a nation-wide event. The MILO Marathon is sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission.
