In their efforts to promote quality education, the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. conducted an Accreditation Survey Visit (Level III- Ph 2) in the curricular programs of Palawan State University last December 9-11, 2016. The said survey visit was made to evaluate the educational activities of PSU in order to confirm if it substantially achieves its objectives, and if it is equally comparable to other institutions in the Philippines.

The survey team, spearheaded by AACCUP Executive Director Dr. Manuel T. Corpus, surveyed the programs in Master in Public Administration (MPA), Doctor of Education (EdD) major in Educational Management, and Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) majors in Social Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Education, School Leadership and Instruction, Guidance and Counseling.

Dr. Marcelina H. Ayson (DMMMSU), Dr. Estrella N. Perez (DMMMSU), and Prof. Myrna M. Dela Cruz (ISU), accreditors for the Master of Arts in Education, awarded the program as a Level III accredited program of PSU on December 10, indicating that the PSU’s MAEd standard is now at par with the program standards of other leading institutions in the country, Southeast Asian countries, and even in the institutions from United States. - LLOYD VILLA
