Indeed I am truly in anticipation of a great year ahead. Personally, I am hoping that it is the best one that we will ever be having in a long time. After all, 2015 marks a very special milestone in the Palawan State University as we celebrate our 50th year. As such, we have a full calendar ahead of us.
The Philippines is making a turn towards what is expected to be the trend for marketing practices in the years to come and the Palaweño ICT Association (PICTA) is not the least to respond to changing times. Recently held at the ICT office in Palawan State University, a Digital Literacy Seminar was conducted by MIMAROPA Ventures and PICTA to a group of SMEs whose aim is to empower their businesses through the use of online marketing.
Puerto Princesans were treated to an evening of lively performances as the Palawan State University staged its annual “PSU Night” program at the Puerto Princesa Baywalk on December 7, 2014. The program, held annually, showcased performances from by the PSU Community.
Last Monday morning’s flag ceremony was laden with good news for the whole school community, not the least of which was a new achievement conferred to Palawan State University President Jeter S. Sespeñe.
In the middle of the AFSUAP Christmas party held at the Dampa Restaurant along Mitra Road, Palawan State University President Jeter S. Sespeñe presided over a celebrated turnover ceremony involving key personalities in PSU.
Literally sounding off the formal beginning of the 18-Day campaign to end Violence Against Women and Children, members of the Palawan State University gathered around the PAC to form a parade that marched until the PSU marker. To show oneness against VAW, the community of supporters, headed by GAD office Director Dr. Mary Allyson Carlos, was clad in the traditional orange color symbolic of a unified PSU.
In an evening full of laughter and surprises, the APSUAP held its annual Christmas party at the Commodore’s Mansion in Puerto Princesa City. No less than Palawan State University President Dr. Jeter S. Sespeñe was there to grace the event.
The PSU Public Relations, Information and Media Office (PRIMO) conducted a seminar-workshop on writing for the web, in order to better orient PSU faculty and staff on proper techniques when producing news articles for internet distribution. The activity, held on November 19, 2014 was attended by faculty and staff from the different departments of the University.
Enactus Philippines, a highly recognized International Organization and longtime advocate of entrepreneurship as a means to create good in the world, has finally come to the Palawan State University.
To celebrate the Palawan State University’s 20th year of providing quality education to the people of Palawan, an anniversary program was held on November 12, 2014. The 20th University Day was themed “PSU Celebrating 20 Years of Transforming Lives.”
